STUDENT NURSES ASSOCIATION
The Student Nurses’ Association, popularly known as SNA, is formed by the parent body known as TNAI (Trained Nurses Association of India).
A wide variety of activities are encouraged at all levels for the SNA members, keeping in view aims and objectives of the association. The diversity of activities are derived from the professional, social, cultural and recreational spheres to strengthen curricular and extracurricular activities of the student nurses. SNA unit of our college strictly follows the Bye laws of Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI).
Aim: The aim of the SNA is to provide programs representative of fundamental and current professional interest concerns to nursing students. Membership in SNA aids in the development of the whole person, including the professional role.
Objectives
- To uphold the dignity and honor of the nursing profession
- To promote participation in student community affairs.
- To involve the students in intercollegiate sports and cultural activities.
- To promote collaborative relationships with various health organizations.
- To bring out the talents and confidence of the students for the upliftment of self and society.
- To inculcate the value of spirit de corps.
- To develop leadership abilities among the students.
- To improve the students social contacts to enhance professional growth

SNA ACTIVITIES
SNA Zonal Competition
The Trained Nurses Association of India, TamilNadu State branch organized zonal competition in Venkateswara Nursing College, Thalambur on 18.07.25.Our students participated in various events such as Hair Do, Mehandhi, Vegetable Carving Face Painting, Mono Act, Solo Singing, Poster Competition, group Dance etc. Students won third prize in Group Dance, 2nd prize in poster competition, 2nd prize in on spot painting, 2nd prize in Rangoli, 3rd prize in mehandhi.
Fund raising programme
Fund raising is an important and necessary activity of SNA done by organizing variety of entertainment activities for staffs & students to raise the fund in SNA. Student Nurses Association in Sankara College of Nursing (Women) organized fund raising programme for all B.Sc. Nursing students. The programme was conducted for two days. They displayed various stalls like Ghost House, Gramathu Samayal, Games etc., The students of all batches participated enthusiastically.
Quiz competition
Sri Gokulam College of Nursing organized quiz competition on the occasion of Midwives day on 05.05.2025 at salem. Our college IV year Students participated in that competition. They gained adequate knowledge about obstetrics & Gynecological nursing.
