The unique feature of Sankara College of Nursing (Women) is the scholarships awarded to students. We offers attractive scholarships to encourage merit and to make education accessible to students of all economic strata. The Institution has initiated a thriving tradition of offering scholarship every year to meritorious and deserving students based on the academic performance, and economic needs.
Our aims to induct and transform meritorious rural students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them not just free, world-class education, but also mentoring and nurturance allowing them to transcend the disadvantages they face and compete with their urban counterparts.
B.Sc.(N) Students who seek admission either through Management Quota or Government Quota are entitled to receive SC/ST/SCA scholarship of Entire tuition fees is given by the Government for SC/ST/SCA candidates.
B.Sc.(N) Students who seek admission either through Government Quota are entitled to receive Backward Classes/ Most Backward Classes / minority from Government of Tamil Nadu.
First Graduate Scholarship offered by the Government to those who are the first graduate from their family and admitted under Government Quota.
The Government of TamilNadu has launched Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme to enhance the enrolment ratio of girls from Government schools to Higher Education Institutions. Through this scheme, the financial assistance of Rs. 1000/month will be provided to the girls till their completion of UG degree. The incentive amount under this scheme will be disbursed directly into the student’s Bank Account.
The Student Nurses Association Of India (SNAI) is a nationwide organization for nursing students. In our college SNA unit was established in 2021. A wide variety of activities are organized encourage curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular programme to provide opportunity for personal, intellectual and social growth and develop student’s leadership skills.
